I watched one of her shows. I was surprised when she suggested a family of a bull dog to wear harness to stop the pulling. The harness that she suggested to the family was designed for pulling. After that, I didn't bother to watch more of her shows.

A couple nights ago I saw this episode where a couple had 4 weimaraner. One was aggresive and they were using an e-collar to try to correct it. Victoria steps in and calls it inhumane and a medieval torture device. :O She also referred to a stimulation as a "zap." These owners were also using a prong collar for walks. She said it would destroy their trachea and such and such and then she threw both collars away!! :O These were probably not cheap! She also used a "training method" where she gets out her little whistle, blows it, gives dog treat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat... Then have another dog walk by this dog aggresive dog's yard, blow the whistle, hope dog aggresive dog comes. UG! But don't worry, it was extremely effective!! (sarcastic) And on top of all of Victoria Stilwell's bogus "training" these people who can't control their own dogs go and try to RESCUE dogs! Wow. I mean, it's great their trying to help, but first, get your own life staightened out and get help somewhere else!
Okay, I'll get off of my little soapbox now.

My daughter and I watch it and get a laugh out of all the dumb dog owners other then that it is useless.

I am not a fan. I haven't read her book and after seeing her show haven't bothered to look for it.
The main issue I have with her is that she does no or very little educating or common sense solutions for training dogs or structuring a home so you can have a dog you can live with unlike other TV dog training personas. Usually her advise comes down to beating up on the owner who is seeking help, guilt tripping them into her methods without consulting the owner in what they feel comfortable doing, followed by a radical change without the full understanding from the owner of why this works.
I've seen a few episodes - the only bit of any use was when she showed a family what a working GSD could do by visiting a police force (my one). 30 secs of video.
I remember one time she had a boxer with aggresion problems and wanted to socialise it with another dog 'safely'. Had stooge dog inside a tennis court and brought the other one to it.
The 'aggressive' boxer was pulling all the time, dragged her into the tennis court and ran straight up to the other dog - can you guess what happened next??
The only reason I watch it (occasionally) is to see how I might deal with the various doggy issues.
That woman is coming NO WHERE NEAR my dogs!
