We'll since I've been lurking for a while now I though I finally sign up.
A little about me. I am currently a EMT and work at a local ER in Atlanta. I use to be a Vet tech by trade for 6 years. I am all about the well being my pets in all aspects. I personally have all rescues pets. I pretty much have every walk of life in my household; from Dogs, Cats, Gerbils, Hamsters, Snakes, Birds, and Fish. So having a balanced pack in my household is very important. Other hobbies include my Sport Bike, Dirt Biking, and Photography.
But when it comes to dogs I own a 8.5 yr old American Cocker Spaniel, named Audrey. She is mainly a house pet, I have not done any agility, or obedience with her. But she does have her AKC CGC title, and she does come to work with me at the hospital every now and then as a Therapy dog to visit the children. Audrey has a very sweet, brave, patient, and obedient nature. She does many tricks to please the kids. One of Audrey's favorite past times is riding dirt bikes with me, or chasing the dirt bike to get some exercise.
I am looking to get a sporting dog in the future. I am considering a couple breeds. GSD, Dutch, Mals, and a Beauceron. I have always been so fascinated by the bond between dog and trainer, so I have always wanted to participate in Schutzhund. But Schutzhund with a Am. Cocker Spaniel just isn't going to work. lol. I have a very good friend in Atlanta who has some nice German Bred, Imported GSD from Germany, who is in Schuntzhund and has been a good mentor for me. She has introduced me to some very nice people at a club in Atlanta. I really look forward to get a nice dog and use this website and forum to get into the sport of schuntzund.
