Has anyone heard of these two breeders? I know nothing of breeding but am starting to research for when I am ready to buy a GSD next year.
Alpine Safety K9-imports his dogs from Czech. When I went to look up pedigrees he states the pedigrees are difficult to obtain in Europe and takes lots of time and paperwork? That sent up a red flag to me.
Canine Extreme- I thought some of their puppies looked alittle goofy.I am not sure if they are the standard. Is it harder to tell if they are breed standard when they are puppies?
Most of the breeders are from show lines and I am more interested in working lines. Is there an area on this forum for finding breeders?

I know nothing at all about the breeders you mentioned.
Have you tried a search for GSD breeders? This topic comes up a LOT, and lots of recommendations have been made in the past. (Upper left corner of the page contains the search feature.)
Alpine K9 in my experince has been good. I did a lot of inquiries here on the board and got good reviews. Someone sent me some info that their police dept. had bought some dogs and they could do the job with no problems.
I must say that they had paper problems a few years back but they have corrected whatever they did wrong.
I have a Xant son and I have had no problems whatsoever. He gets the dogs from Jinopo, so IMHO you'd be getting quality dogs. Other members may have had different experinces though...
I don't question the quality of the dogs ... my issues were other than with the dog himself (except that he was sterile ... but that is always a risk when buying an older dog)
