I just started feeding my GSD raw diet. Anyone know where I can find chicken necks, backs, or any other good stuff in or around Kaiserslautern Germany. I shopped at the commissary on base and there is not much there at all. Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on making the big switch!
This may be a very stupid question, but don't they have regular markets or grocery stores off the base that you can check out? How about butchers? Or, can you talk to the commissary manager and see if s/he can bring in things you're interested in? (That may be the dumbest question of all, since I have zero idea how military commissaries work.)
I know they have SchH clubs around there. Perhaps you can visit one or two and ask their members where they source their own raw food?
Good luck, and I sure hope you get better ideas than I have
Thanks for the ideas. they do have markets but im totally ignorant on where they are lol. i asked the commissary guy and he told me to find a market or butcher. but good news. found a fried chicken restaurant that just throws that stuff away every night. i called and they are going to hold it for me and tomorrow im going to check it out. best of all its free and fresh.
they have chicken wings, whole chickens, ox tail, liver and vegetables. all frozen except the veggies. the fried chicken restaurant has all the chicken parts. i told them i wanted the necks and backs and any other parts, will find out when i go check it out.
they better not lol. they already told me they just throw them away. they should have said "why you want them" lol. if they ask for some money i wont mind since i need them and its right down the street so either way im saving big bucks.

Yeah, maybe a few bucks here and there. Or even just showing your face in the restaurant.
Just to give them a little reason to save them for you.
Please post back what you find tomorrow. I really hope this works out. I have a fascination with making raw feeding cost as little as possible. I guess its a hobby.
thats a good hobby. no snickers but i never even knew people fed their dogs like this. i gave matilda her first raw food this morning and she ate like she was starving. this is a small one owner restaurant and not a chain like kfc or anything so that helps that they actually have left overs
