Say it isn't so but since I started trying to establish pack leadership with Bruno - well he seems to be giving off the vibes that there's just too much togetherness going on. Bit of history; he is for the most part an outside dog - 5 years old - but I have been having him inside more and around me more. He is not allowed to roam the backyard anymore because he will fence fight with the neighbors dogs. Its cold and so inside I can work with him more (reinforce obedience commands) and expose him to different things. I now also try to take him with me in the car whenever I can, we take daily walks, and he has even been sleeping inside in his crate until morning when I go to work and then he goes back out to his outside kennel. We didn't used to do any of this because of his severe dislike for other animals (including my cats)and little did I know I was making the problem worse by not facing it and forcing him to listen to me...his pack leader. Anyway, at night like when I am on the computer he is tethered to my chair he will start getting really ornery (is that how that is spelled) and so I think well maybe he needs a bathroom break. He will go outside and go get in his doghouse and doesn't want to come back in? What dog wouldn't rather be inside with his owner? Is it too hot in here maybe? or does he just need his space..alone time
