Now I know dogs sometimes eat their poop but I have never seen Bruno do this until tonight. I did some quick searches and one reason said lacking nutrients. I feed Honest Kitchen so that confuses me? In his HK he will sometimes get either yogurt, cottage cheese, egg, and or boneless skinless chicken breast pieces. I also started giving him the Vit E supplement. Any thoughts?

That's one of many possible triggers (along with boredom).
I would start right away to keep this habit from developing, by walking the dog on a leash around his poop time, and then doing leave-it, with excellent rewards.
Yes unfortunately weather has put a cramp in our walking time and I did also read about boredom as a cause. So getting back in our walking routine is something I will def. do. One other thing he did this directly after eating. Is it possible I am not feeding him enough? He gets 3 cups of HK per day with the other stuff I mentioned added in. He's around 85#. He has not lost any weight which is why I have not upped the amount I feed him.
A muzzle would be one option- depending on the design, he'd still be able to drink water, but not eat poo.
Leerburg just started carrying a food additive that deters some dogs from eating their own feces. You mix it in with their meal, and it gives the poop an unpleasant (as if it wasn't nasty enough already?) taste that encourages some dogs to leave it alone.
I did see the stop eating poop item and never thought about a muzzle. Thanks for the advice. You don't think its that I'm not feeding him enough do you?
