Well, today was the first day I took Falcon to Schutzhund Village and I have to admit I'm proud of my baby boy!! smiley for :grin:

We had the opportunity to work with Armin, the trainer/decoy (an awesome trainer)and Falcon did just what he was supposed to do on the first time out. He latched on to the "prey" items without hesitating, bit hard, held on and pranced around "with pride" when Armin let him do so. Before I knew what was happening Armin said "Run to the car! Let him carry it to the car!" so off we went. I ended up far more breathless than did Falcon, but it was such a rush seeing him doing "his thing"! I received some good input on not having Falcon "release" his toys to my hand (now the earlier comment from Connie about "Why is this dog outing at this point??" makes perfect sense...duhh..) since when Armin put his hand hear Falcon on the "prey" he lessened his grip a bit. Other than that, the feed back was all really positive.

In any case, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to those of you who encouraged me, okay, Alyssa shoved a bit smiley for :D

, to simply GO DO IT. Danka, danka, danka. It was my 53rd birthday today and I can honestly say, one of my best. Sometimes it really is the simple things in life that mean the most.

I have read and re-read Armin Winkler's training articles, and I would just love to meet him.
