My 8 month old mal decided he needed more oils for his coat and broke into a veg. oil bottle. He drank like 2 cups.. Should I take him to the Vet.. I'm so worried sick..
Thanks for the advice.. He seems pretty upbeat.. no ill effects I will watch and take em to vet if he seems lathargic.. This is the first time he got outta my site. ..
I remember the day (or should I say the day after) my friend's springer spaniel ate a pound of butter. You'd better watch out! The results were explosive!
Picture this - dog in crate for 7 hours while owner is at work and 1 pound of butter has to come out somewhere.
Keep a good eye on him if you can and if he says he has to go out.....rush him out the door!
My dog ate about 2 cups of pure unfiltered shea butter, it was a holy mess.
It was the nastiest greasiest diarrhea I have ever seen come out of a dog, I spent most of that day and night outside with him because he was going so much.
And I remember drips of poo down the hallway as he was trying to make it to the backdoor, I threw a rug away that weekend and several towels, they were just too far gone to try to get clean.
We fasted him from food for a full 24 hours after it happened then did the whole rice, pumpkin and boiled chicken thing to get him back on track.
