Already have mine! .308 Marlin Express and a Taurus 24/7. I also have a Beretta U22 Neos in Pink just for fun. My brother just got a Marlin .444 and to round it off also has a Ruger .44.
Ugh when you walk into my living room you are greeted by the .270, 30.06, both 30-30's, the .308 and the .444 with a few different .22 rifles proped up in various corners, my brother and our neighbor sitting in recliners with 2 9mm and the .44, me with my .22 pistol, a couple axes/splitting maul in the dining room and a 36" Husqvarna by the loveseat.
And these are just the items visible from the front door as you walk in O_O
I've been told many times that if we are ever attacked by zombies, we are set.
For ease of operation in stressful situations...A revolver in the caliber of your choice. A nice tactical shotgun works good for home protection. Depending on your circumstances, you can load buckshot or BB shot. Slugs defeat the purpose of a shotgun for home protection.
Depending on where you live and what you decide to purchase, you may have to wait a while... My husband has been waiting since December for one of his new weapons to come in. At least the ammunition and weapon business is doing VERY well.
Depends. According to some estimates, I already have "too many" firearms... whatever that means.
I wouldn't mind one of Smith's little J-frame, bodyguard .357s, with a decent set of Hogues, and a nice 1 inch barrel. As it warms up, we females become more and more limited in carry options.
Tooling around on Hogues' website the other night, I also discovered they make a very nice overmolded, floating barrel setup that I wouldn't mind experimenting with on one of my little Stoner guns.
But again, it's all up to personal preference.
Despite the fact that the 1911 is arguably the best designed weapon of all time, it is not my first choice of handgun. I came in to the military in the post .45 era, and as a result, 98% of my tactical handgun training has been received on a drastically different frame.
I prefer, as a result, bulkier pistols.
What are you looking for? A carry pistol? A home defense weapon? For home defense, nothing beats a good Remington 12 gauge, loaded with bird shot. Rips badguys in half, but unlike deer loads or slugs, has less tendancy to go through dry wall and kill small children sleeping in beds (which may or may not be a concern you have to contend with).
Depending on where you live and what you decide to purchase, you may have to wait a while... My husband has been waiting since December for one of his new weapons to come in. At least the ammunition and weapon business is doing VERY well.
