We ended up having a great time this weekend even though it was bone chilling cold with the ridiculous western oklahoma winds. We didn't do nearly as much hiking as we wanted to and we certainly didn't camp..but we had fun enjoying the beautiful scenery and checking out the wildlife nonetheless.
It has a huge off limits wildlife refuge, is an old mining area, and Geronimos gravesite is there as well. Oh and supposedly somewhere in those mountains is Jesse James hidden treasure
We can't wait to go back and actually get out on foot in that park, there are days of stuff to explore there!
(I can already hear the brilliant minds at PeTA, composing their new anti-Myracle campaign.)
NEW? Is there an existing one already?
Great pics Jennifer! Very cool!
The "sea kitten" campaign was kicked off by a video of me noodling for catfish and then bashing them with bricks.
(DISCLAIMER: While I like fish, I can't stand catfish, and certainly have not been noodling, nor bashing them. Pacific King Salmon is a whole 'nother story.)
The best and funniest part of the weekend was after we had been there for a few hours and she was like ok I'm going to let bailey out, don't make any sudden movements. :O
out comes this little dog that looks like a silver lamb and the first thing he does is jump up on the couch and start giving me the once over.
So I am sitting there doing my best ceaser milan impression totally ignoring this dog sniffing my face after she told me not to make any sudden movements.
Finally I was like uuuummmm is he going to bite me?!? and her husband assured me that he was fine but got scared easily and would run off and bark if he was startled.
Whew!!
He ended being a sweety and really liking me, but I had to laugh because I was a little terrified. ( I have known some mean little schnauzers!)

Chilly? In OK? Hmm. lol You ever been up to the "frozen north" I like to call ND in the dead of hell...err, I mean winter?
I'm sure it was pretty cold But trust me, the temps there couldn't possibly compare. The coldest temp. that I know of was
-22 F, my hubby said that it was -16 last night.
Either way it was cold for you and WAY too cold for me! lol
