So I have been working with my dog(mal mix) for the last few months with his shy/aggression issues. I'm not really sure but it was not desired behavior is all I know. I have been through some of the leerburg videos and have gotten some great information from the site.

Getting to the point of my thread. Today it was 60 or so around Chicago and so excited about that. We went for a walk out to a forrest preserve where I was sure everyone and their mother would be out. They were and I was saying to myself and my dog. OK lets go and see what happens, we have been working on this and make me proud.

Proud indeed he made me. We went by numerous dogs at varying distances with one being only 5 feet away and only once did he get jumpy and barked once but the other dog started it (not an excuse just saying).

All it has taken was some oscar meyer hot dogs which work wonders and I have never used them before. Everytime he sees a dog he gets a hot dog (piece) etc... I feel like now he knows when a dog comes he gets a reward. But if he starts to act up he gets corrected.

Very excited and happy the progress he has made. I just got a video camera two days ago and was going to post some video for suggestions on how to deal with it but this could be the start of something good. I'm very pleased with him.
