I have a 5 month old lab that I cannot get to quit biting his leash when on walks. He is an extreme puller and jumper. Normally I will just quit walking and let him have at it. I'v tried the technique in the 8 weeks to 8 months video and popping the leash just intices him to attack it even more. Popping, yanking, any movement of the leash at all will cause him to go crazy on it.

I'v tried redirecting him to a toy and working him in obedience but as soon as he is done, he just goes right back.. I'v also soaked it in bitter apple. The bitter apple worked at first but lost its magic.

Leash corrections would not be an option since he has the leash in his mouth <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

This also causes problems for correcting him for biting. He loves to bite (playfully) and I'v tried every trick in the book to get him to stop biting on me and my fiance. So I resorted to trying a prong collar correction.. But that won't work because as soon as he sees me grab the leash, he bites it. So I cannot give a correction.

Anyways I'm fresh out of ideas, if anybody has any suggestions please help me out!
