Stanley Yee Webboard User Reg: 09-29-2005 Posts: 49 Loc: Offline	Hi, would like to get some advice if by using the bark collar will kill the drive of the young pup or young adult dog and causes it to be afraid of barking at the helper when it comes to protection training ? Do you also stop the dog barks when it is not told to do so ? My concern is whether by doing all these will creat a conflict to a sch sport dogs Thanks http://www.dogpossible.com

It's small, light, and I started using it when my dog was 6 months old. My dog is 2 1/2 years old and it has not killed his drive in any way. He will do a bark and hold, and also bark civily. There is no conflict. He does not even have to wear it all the time now, because he has learned (when he is in his kennel) that he is not to do a bunch of useless barking, or the collar goes on.

I only have him wear it if there is a lot of useless barking in his outside backyard dog kennel. Now he is quiet and usually barks for a reason (he seldom wears it anymore)
