My name is Asya and I relocated to Orofino,ID last year from the Seattle area. I am married to a wonderful man and we have 3 dogs. I have worked in the veterinary field for six years and have done dog rescue for 10+ years. I am currently working at a chiropractic office while getting ready to go back to school to get my masters in OT.
I have always loved dogs and dog training. I have done obedience and agility with my Australian Shepherd and Aussie mix. I am very interested in exploring Schutzhund with my 10 month old Doberman, Juno. It seems that there are some very experienced Schutzhund trainers on this board and I look forward to learning from all of you.
I met Asya at our local AKC obedience class, and she'll be one of the charter members of our soon-to-be-formed DVG SchH club here in North-Central Idaho.

Wow, Will! You waste no time in getting a club up and running!!
Ahhh, it's still in the planning stages, but I've formed clubs in the past, so I know the contact points and the steps, which is a big help.
For me, the first step is to gather the potential members emails and send a group email which outlines the goals of the club, and what jobs need to be done to make a club successful.
I'm actually at this step right now, and I should have the email done in the next few days.....
Of course I have all the needed equipment, like a full set of blinds, sleeves, jumps, etc, etc, etc...........so that's a big help with a newly forming club.

Asya, You sure happened to find a *very* nice, helpful, and more than experienced person to learn the sport of schutzhund from. I wish you luck.... and WELCOME to the board!
