Due to the pressures from SOMEBODY I thought it may be a good idea to introduce my new pup, Havok.
Born November 25, he is about 18 weeks old now and growing SO fast. Last check was 38 lbs, but I don’t think I can keep lifting him to stand on a scale, so it may be the last for a while. He is a good looking little guy but his front leg markings are a little sooty, and with his teething, his left ear has gone a little wonky.
He flew all the way in from the
Schloss Hexental kennels in Belgium and is out of Guy’s female
Ushi du Detroit Lancaster and by his
Benno von Schloss Hexental . Benno is a Balu and Woton grandson and is a tough dog with a lot of drive to him. Ushi is a nice strong female that tends to throw nice males. She is a King (Schwaiger Wappen) granddaughter and her father, Pasco vd Traisenwiese has his French Ring III, not easy for a Rott especially. One of her brothers in an active duty army dog for Austria and another is the top Belgian Ring dog at this time.
So far he is an easy going dog as long as things are going his way. He is a tough little guy, and has zero reaction to pain. At nine weeks, he was playing with a fellow club pup, a nine week old GSD bitch, and her tooth must have gotten him wrong, because 4 hours later, while holding him like a baby, I noticed a one inch long by ½ inch deep gaping wound on the underside of his neck. We were right there the whole time, and he never indicated any pain at the time or later. It has healed up nicely with just a shaving and rinse 3X daily. Those two can play real rough, and she is a little, well, bitchy, but he takes it without attitude and comes back for more.
Hav is quite independent. He has zero issue with doing everything on his own and rarely looks back to me for anything. Strangers, dogs, noises, not much has fazes him, but he has learned to bark and likes to do so when he wants something that is being withheld. With that being said, he is a snuggler! His only behavioral issue is his obsession with legs; for biting and for humping…
There have been very few issues with the house breaking or too much screaming in the crate, but he has his moments…
He tends to be low key most of the time with four or five sessions a day of psyco-ness. He loves to chase and retrieve, tug and DIG. He feels the need to bury everything, even while in his crate. After digging, he will bury the toy/food item with the dirt (real or imaginary) with his nose. Dumb dog…
