Okay...I've been meaning to put Zari's repertoire of "stupid pet tricks" on video for a while now...and today I finally did it.
(She thinks the cattle dog Jack has had enough of the limelight for the time being...
CUTE! I would say silly pet tricks, not stupid pet tricks. Kids LOVE when your dog can do fun stuff...so do the tellers at the bank where I bring the dog "What else can he do?" they squeal like 7 yr olds.
Quote:
I wonder what is going through our dog's heads when we ask them to do this stuff.
oatbag, I get my oatbag now. Oatbag time for mee-ee-ee
I wonder what goes through your kids head when you do weird stuff with him? weeeeeee
btw Michael, you could photoshop that pic into a sweet series of 'flying baby' pics. Just a thought
The "stupid" tag is from Letterman's long standing bit.. and no, I don't really think they are stupid.
I train for Schutzhund and in our off time, learning these tricks is a great, no-stress method of bonding...plus, every time she masters a new one, I've learned a bit more about dog training...so no...I don't think they are stupid at all...just a phrase
I'm all for teaching "stupid tricks" to our Sch dogs Especialy the ones we take out in public all the time. I even go to the trouble of putting a red kneckerchef on her to make her more friendly appearing. When I see people, particularly kids, start to get unnerved I make her do a cute trick which calms most everybody. If that doesn't work the person shouldn't be out in public anyway.
