Thought I'd introduce my new American Bulldog pup "Floyd", AKA Piggy cause he looks like a piglet!
We've had him for 2 weeks now and I am really happy with him. He, so far, is confident almost to a fault, nothing seems to phase him, outgoing, a bit independent, snuggly when tired, great with the kids and other dog, and loves to play tug.
We are working on teaching him that the cat is NOT a squeaky toy! Toilet paper is not a fun streamer to pull off the roll and paper the entire house with. Laundry is not a tug toy to be attacked while mom is trying to fold. And a million other funny puppy quirks that we are having so much fun with!
I have been keeping him tethered to me most of the time indoors with some supervised playtime with our 8 month old Black Lab. The lab thinks he has died and gone to heaven to have a playmate. The kids adore him, although I only allow interaction when the pup is tuckered out and my boys are quiet.
Here is a picture of my 4 year old and the pup having some RARE quiet time.

Hehe, I miss the cute funny quirks of puppyhood.
He is beautiful and seems to match your sons blanket very nicely
Here is another pic of Floyd and the Black Lab during one of their rare playtimes. It's hard to believe that a young lab can be that gentle and patient with a lil' land shark!
Hey Natalya! Thank you. He comes from mostly catchdog stock. His grandfather and grandmother, have their Sch BH and CD III's. They also did some bitework along with hog hunting, so I guess he does have some "working" genes in there.
I really don't have any work planned for him at this point, other than a great family dog. Who knows what the future may bring if I can ever find enough time to dedicate. Maybe the Michael Ellis seminar will inspire me!
Tracy, I'm really glad to see the photos of your new pup. I remember you telling me about his lines in the last thread. Sounds like you got a great pup. Congrats!
