Feeding her blue buffalo. She will occasionally toss her bowl in her crate, which, depending on if she's eaten, will spill all of the food as well. 20+ minutes of cleanup for this, as the crate must come out, pick up the food, vac carpet, etc.
We have been as consistent as possible with pulling the bowl out as soon as either she is finished eating, or begins to slide the bowl around. She is on a set feeding schedule, but is inconsistent with finishing her food each time.....sometimes she eats considerably more than other times, and the times during the day change as well....no set pattern that I can come up with.
Should I fabricate something to secure the bowl to the side of her crate, but that can be removed after she is done eating?
My wife and I just bought some stainless steel bowls with the non-skid bottom, mainly for feeding raw but also because our pup did the same thing. He doesn't even want to put his teeth on this one.
Yup. I've got a flat pail that I hang on the crate door. I hang it with the hook and also secure the handle with a carabiner. Max goes crazy in the crate sometimes, but he's never spilled his chow. Totally recommended.
