I’m having some issues on how to go about getting controlled substance to train our companies dogs. We are currently in the process of finishing the application for a State/DEA license. One part of the app is needed- a statement of sources of obtaining the training aids to be used in the procedure.
I’ve talked the DEA and they informed me they only deal with law enforcement. I have talked to my state health agency in Arkansas and they have no idea. They only process the app’s. So I’m at a loss, we are a private company and I’m a service disable vet owner. I have tried talking to the other private companies out there but I’m sure you can guess how that went. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I may have misread your question. If you were asking if DEA will supply you with drugs; I don't think they will. In that instance, my understanding is they only supply law enforcement. If you are having trouble getting the license, the provided website will assist you.

I know this is an old post but how did it go? Did you find a place to get them? In Texas the only way you can get nacotics is from your local police department and a letter from a judge helps. Its not that hard, I worked narco for the last four years in law enforcement before leaving.
