a couple of months ago my dog started limping and after a couple of trips to the vet and a couple of posts here i found out he had pano.
it went away after a couple of weeks but seems to have flared up again
the only difference this time round is, his still eating normally, just limping, started in his front legs and today seems his back legs is now affected.
will arnica ice or any other ointment help, and what kind of meds can i give him to relieve the pain..
also his paws seems to be sensitive , is this a seperate issue and how would i treat this
I remember Apollo having Pano. It was not any fun for either of us. This was six years ago, so I am a bit foggy as to the details, but I believe someone on this board PM'd me a link to a homeopathic remedy that worked very well. It was a bottle with an eyedropper in it that you gave orally twice a day. Now I cannot say for sure if it was the remedy or if it went away on its own, but he was in pain, I gave him the drops, the pain went away. I was feeding him a combination of high quality kibble and raw (at different times of the day) at that time in his life. Take it for what it's worth.
Maybe do a search for Pano in the forums and read all you can about it. That person might still be here! Good luck, I remember how awful this can be. I wish I still had that message or remembered where I go the product, but sadly I don't.
both the paws on the right,i tried checking if there was anything stuck in or if they were damaged in any way...just to rule out any other cause of limping.
he jumped up when i touched them and he is used to me handling his paws
