Just a cute video of Floyd in the kids pool with my son. It was 93 degrees in MA today so I pulled the kiddie pool out. I didn't expect the pup to go in, but he hung out in there pretty much all day! Please forgive the state my lawn is in. Between the kids and the dogs, we can't seem to get the grass to grow well in the backyard!
There was something really therapeutic about watching that... it WAS hot here in MA today! A kiddie pool with a puppy in it is pretty much exactly where I would have liked to have spent my afternoon - the sound of the splashing and just watching the cute kid and the adorable pup were like my moment of zen...
Thanks guys! He's a neat little pup. I took him to the Ellis seminar last weekend for some socializing and he did awesome. Big dogs in kennels barking like crazy, guinea hens, gunshots, people, he handled it all like he saw it everyday. I have yet to see him show fear of anything. So far he is exactly what I am looking for. I hope he keeps it up and matures into a stable, confident, loving dog.
My husband bought him that ball at Cabelas when he was buying hunting equipment. It's a hard plastic ball with a smaller rubber ball on the inside. The rubber ball has a hole in it that you stick treats into. Floyd loves picking it up and carrying it around. It probably is about 1/2 his weight!
