I have about 30, 6'x 5.5' indoor kennels. They are connected with concrete walls between each kennel. The floor is concrete also. In the past we have been using metal grates covered in some sort of lining that cover the length and width of the kennel and sit on a ledge about 6" off of the floor. The problem I'm having is the dogs will chew off the lining and the the grates rust through (this is not a new problem). I would like to use something similar as for us they are easier to clean than putting a small grating that sits of the floor. It also keeps the dogs much more dry. Also if I switch to the smaller grates I will have to drop all of the kennel gates (1 per kennel)and block off a 6" space in the rear so dogs do escape. I'm looking for suggestions here for new set-ups or products that might work for me. Maybe a super-duty plastic or something.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
On my garage kennel I use dry deck with dry barn pellets underneith. It helps sustancially with odors, protects the concrete, and everyone stays dry. The downside is the sawdust that it produces but I find the drydeck contains the non used pellets well and the shop vac takes care of any loose sawdust. I also find that scooping turds off the dry deck isn't difficult and pulling up sections to do a quick scoop of used pellets isn't hard either.
I don't think that will work for me. We let the dogs out one at a time and then hose down the kennel and anything gross goes down a drain behind them. Often the kennels are full, so fast and efficient are neccessities. Thanks for your suggestion.
