I am honoring my neighbor (deceased). WWll veteran who survived all the major battles...yeah...he was one of the unlucky ones who was on loan to many and fought in many major battles and survived...while his friends and brothers died. He was at a concentration camp and helped there also.
He finally told his story for a video history for a senior project. He died a few weeks later.
He never complained about his health and loved his country.
He was almost 90 years old. Married to the same woman for over 60 years. Even though there was almost 40 years difference between us he was my friend and my hero.
