Hello everyone my name is Amber,
I have Angel who was a rescue from the neighbors ( they were feeding her table scraps left from their meal and just left her in the backyard with NO interaction or structure at all) I'm not entirely sure what type of mix Female Dog who is 8 and a Cocker Spaniel Dachshund female puppy of 13 weeks Named Harper. I always thought I was doing well by Angel until I was introduced to Leerburg by my husband who was looking for potty training tips for Harper. I have been glued to the site since then and am learning huge amounts. Sometimes I may ask a stupid question and I don't care if you harass me about it just let me have a good answer pretty please !
My first job was at a Kennel when I was 14 and the owner was a crank and yank trainer . I always knew there had to be a better way because the dogs were whipped and not happy to go for training. When you see a dog cower during a session you know it isn't right.
Angel had been a breeze to train because we used a treat system with lots of praise but Harper is such a completely different dog that I knew I needed help. So glad that I was lead to your site. I have been devouring Ebooks and am making a list of what I want to order . Still not sure about the raw diet but after reading about Kibble on here and reading the ingredients list on the bag of Eukanuba and Iams I am worried both dogs need to be changed.Just not sure if to the raw or to the dehydrated or what? Now to convince the hubby And do more research.
Children Learn by watching all we do, Be a role model and lead by example.
Raw is easier than you think. WHen I fed high quality dog foods I had to drive 30-45 minutes just to get to the store that supplied it. When I need to get dog food now I drive 15 minutes to Walmart. I order the supplements from Leerburg and they are delivered right to my house. How easy is that?
Welcome Amber! Keep reading and ask any questions you need to ask... There are some very helpful and knowledgeable folks on this forum who are always willing to help out. Your pups are cute!
