Hi all! I'm still working out how/what to feed raw. Is it OK to feed split chicken breasts? Or are the bones too big/hard?
My dog is 95 lbs, and he chews things up pretty well. He seems to have a sensitive stomach and I don't want to upset his system (again). Still struggling with adding in organ meats, as he reacts anytime it's more than a tablespoon.
I don't think they are an issue at all with a dog this size, in fact you will probably be looking for larger pieces before long! My dog handles backs and leg quarters with no problem and I'm looking forward to chucking him an entire chicken carcass from time to time. :-)

Kasey weights 82lbs and he eats them all the time - believe it or not, they are the cheapest thing I can buy where we live! They go on sale for .99 all the time. He can't eat leg quarters at all - they always give him loose stools, even if I take off the skin.

Ditto to all, but don't forget that chicken breasts are bone-light, meat-heavy.
The times when I had whole breasts I first sliced off a pretty good piece to give to humans or to freeze for times of bone-heavier (backs and necks) pieces, to modify that ratio.
PS
Of course, this is only for when there are weeks' worth of breasts -- not at all when you are just plowing through whole birds and happen to be giving breast parts.
