The time has come for a new dog. I'm mostly interested in Czech/DDR lines. I'm looking for a dog with strong, well rounded drives, Great grip strength, good temperment, and fearless! Suitable for top competition mostly. I prefer dark blocky dogs with heavy bone structure, but that's not my priority. At this point, price is not a major concern either, I just want it to be fair. I have a few breeders in mind, but please offer any suggestions to aid me in my search.

Matthew you and everyone else (g), unfortunately dogs with all of those traits are, and I am being kind, very difficult to find. Therefore if you decide to wait until that dog comes along, let me suggest the novel "War and Peace" Norman

Yeah, no kidding. Another reason for the post. I'm looking for a breeder I can trust.
Matthew, you sound just like every one of my puppy buyers! LOL.
Isn't that what EVERYONE wants...mostly? I mean the grip thing is partly genetic, partly training...but the well-rounded w/good temperament thing is pretty much unanimous. The trick comes down to finding a breeder/dogs that match up to what YOU think "good temperament" is. Not as cut and dried as it may seem.
Decide your definition of these things, and ask a breeder what they think good temperament is. Let them talk, so you know if you are on the same page. Most breeders think their stock has good temperament. I would disagree.
I have a super pup that I found thanks to recommendations from this forum. Thanks Deanna! He has three littermates left. The pups are from a bitch out on terms from a respected Schutzhund breeder and trainer. They are in Rhode Island.
P.M. me if you would like me to give you contact info

Norman....you never fail to crack me up!!
Matthew,
If you've read about my dog Fetz here on the forum ( who has an excellent genetic grip as per the noted trainer Bernhard Flinks and bullet-proof nerves ) and would be interested in a dog out of his lines, please feel free to PM me for recommendations.
