Jo, I've never read the story of Lucy. I get that she was probably a rescue. Would you please direct me to the thread that gives the prequel to your video.
Dennis,
I think I may have phased out the markers too soon. I should still mark and/or bridge on each segment...teeth, ears, and feet. Saving the tail for last.
(she is my sweet Lucy though, regardless of biting me!)
Right now, Hanna (my daughter) is in the process of being trained to touch her. Lucy tolerates her up to a point, but is getting better. Hanna needs to know how to touch her just in case Luce needs to go to the vet and I can't take her.
BUT, I hope the vet will let me or Hanna present teeth, ears, feet to them. Luce will not tolerate them crowding her and touching her. She has her moments with me still, if they force her, she may never let me touch her again.
Mom and Dad can scratch her head, if Lucy presents her head to them to be pet. Yay Lucy!
I am glad you asked the question...I hadn't thought that far ahead, but I would like her to present if I ask her. THAT will be WAY in the future!

I would insist on it! Call ahead and remind them that she is fearful/snappy with anyone touching her. The only problem would be any palpations that they might have to do... (but hey, one thing at a time, right?!)
If you are going to train Hanna to touch her, definately go back to using markers and treats, as Dennis suggested...
