Yeah, that's a Boxer. Anyway who cares what kind of dog - the officers surrounded and tasered the poor thing. He'll be lucky if he's not traumatized for life from that.
I have to say that aside from letting his dog run loose on the streets unsupervised, the owner is a stand up owner. Not many people would actually be willing/able to move to keep their dog - mostly it's the other way around. I'm glad that the owner and dog are staying together. Let's hope he keeps his dog on leash from now on - this dog needs to be kept safe!
Of course, it's only one side of the story. Maybe he did attack the officers - who knows. At least the story has a good ending.
I fully agree that it is this man's fault for allowing his dog to be loose with no supervision.
But reading that the animal warden said the dog "looks as though he has Pit Bull in its blood." Really bothers me.
Loki looks like he has doberman in his blood, and people will cringe and avoid him at times because of it.
He is about as far away from a doberman as you can get, but looks can be decetving.
You absolutely can not be sure what a dogs lineage is without some sort of pedigree information or a reiable DNA testing to find out their heritage.
