Hello, everyone.
I am a 13 year old girl and I am in the process of training my one and a half year old female German shepherd.
My family and I are very puzzled because since she's been about a year old, she has been barking aggressively at my father. The odd thing is that she acts perfectly normal outside with him in the yard, but when he comes in the door or she sees him outside through the window, she barks!
Thank you very much for any help you can give me.

Welcome to the boards.
Odds are she is barking because she's seeing someone in the yard but cannot use smell to identify the intruder. It happens often at my place when I walk in through the front door or up the stairs. Usually it stops and the puppy gives me this weird Oh it's just you look.
Just a suggestion but send your father outside and open the window (leave a leash on your dog) and see if you have the same issue. My thought is you wont.
I forgot to tell you that I have older brothers who she doesn't bark at, nor does she bark at my mother or sisters when they are outside or coming in. When she barks we tell her very firmly "Quiet!" and then we cover her crate with a sheet. My father and she are great friends otherwise. It is just when he is coming in the house or is visible outside the window that she barks at him.
@Connie
She does keep barking at him even after she recognizes him.
I train her every day and I run and walk with her daily and she seems very happy and healthy.
Does your Father feed your dog? I was wondering if mabey that your dog is not barking aggressively, but rather barking because she wants food or to play with him.
My daughter's dog barks at me, because he wants me to feed him and play with him.
Does your dad ever train her? It sounds like she is uncomfortable with him for some reason. I'd see if turning him into a hot dog machine might help. Every time he sees her, give her a piece of hot dog. She will soon associate him with good things and forget about whatever is making her nervous.
He could do some fun marker work with her, play with her, walk her and feed her as John suggested.
