Hello gang!
Ya'll may have missed me around here of late (and some of you may have said good riddance!), well the reason for my absence came in the form of a new pup.
There's a couple of people here that know about it but most of you don't. So for the background: After many months of waiting with fingers crossed I finally recieved a pup on Aug 4th, he was 3 days older then 8 weeks when he came in on the plane. The breeder is a board member here, almost all know her, Jenni Williams. The pup is from her newly imported Capri who was bred in Europe before coming over the big pond. I've named him Strider and this is what his pedigree looks like:

He's very smart, and very people oriented. My hands and arms look much like pin cushions now and he tried (and almost did) to pierce my right ear last week in the thickest part and the scab on my nose where he caught me is almost gone now........we're getting along great.
Cassie is learning patience and Strider is learning taking bites at her on the way by is not a good idea, but as you'll see they're both learning we're all in this together.
He's a nice pup and if I do my job and have a little luck, he should mature into a dog anyone would be proud of.
So this is Strider's intro to the extented family of the Leerburg forum. I put together a slide show from the first three weeks. I hope this link works.
What a deceptively teddy-bearish appearance! how adorable! I loved all the pics (especially the blurry ones, which is what all my puppy pictures look like).
I've been wondering about those pups and it's great to know we'll get to "see" one grow up.
Oh, come on ya' slacker... you make it sound like a tiny new pup is making demands on your free time and consuming every waking moment. LOL! (I remember your pain!)
Congrats, Randy. What a lucky little pup and what a lucky guy you are. I loved the blurry pics but my favorite is the one of him running at you with the soft frizby covering his entire head.
I honestly look forward to hearing about the trials and tribulations, and watching this little biting machine grown up on these pages.
well the reason for my absence came in the form of a new pup.
Awwwww!!! He is perfect. That Jenni does good work . I want to look like a pin cushion too. Any thought to attending the Michael Ellis seminar in October? If I recall correctly you stood me up in April......story of my life
The slide show is great but I am partial to the picture where he is stepping out in front of the basket ball.....is that pup part grizzly?
Good luck with him Randy; Jenni can sleep peacefully knowing he is in a stellar home.
