I have a few things to say.
The things Leerburg is teaching are wrong. I've read only a few pages, but it's enough to know that he has no idea what it takes to train a healthy happy dog. The only reasons his dogs obey him is because they fear him. Prong collars are inhumane and cruel. Isolating a new dog can make it more agressive and not trust you. Why would anyone listen to this guy? If you want to see a real dog trainer in action, check out Cesar Millan.
Leerburg is just out to make money, and has no real interest in a dogs safety, or is too ignorant to see what he's doing. If he does it, that doesn't make it right for everyone esle I don't even think it's right for him to do the things he does. Please, don't buy his products, if you love your dog.
I'd urge that you read more than a few pages before you burst into attack mode, because you sound just like you have "read only a few pages." In fact, you sound a little silly, but I'll try not to be judgmental about you before knowing anything about you. (You might want to try that, too.)
I'm sorry you are not a fan of marker training. Are you also unaware of the terrific new Michael Ellis/Leerburg video called "The Power of Training Dogs with Food"? http://leerburg.com/220.htm
BTW, you would find that Ed and Cindy are Cesar Millan fans, too, if you kept reading.
"Prong collars are inhumane and cruel." Hmmm. Not informed on that topic either?
You are indeed a quick study. And obviously self-confident. A tad obnoxious but that may only be in the eye of this beholder.
If you had read a few more pages, or done any due diligence before offering your unsolicited and uninformed opinion there is just the slightest chance you might not have exposed yourself so.
Your post is pure foolishness. It is devoid of any useful information or suggestion.
But your post or rant did get my attention. And you reminded me that opinions are like butts - everyone has at least one. The trick is for you to remember how important it is to remove your head from yours before you opine.
