She seems to have had a special relationship with you and was a wonderful companion.

We are all the better for those special dogs in our lives!

Hi Katie;

I'm not so sure that there's much more to say... She was a $75 dog that was purchased from a newspaper add to be a working pet... Everything that I stood against... (back yard breeders) A dog to stay at my office, yet have all the comforts of our corgi's that we had at home.

She's also the first "blue" shepherd I ever ran into...

What we wouldn't know is that after 3 days she'd worm her way into our hearts so much that we'd become inseperable. She was literally with me for most of the rest of her life. If I had to leave her behind during a trip... She'd drive everyone absolutely nuts until I came home.

She turned out to be a natural tracker with extremely high drives. She had clear hips.. And very little in the way of health concerns.

Not that I'm knocking my new partner... But... I researched my next shepherd, was confident of the breeder, and, turn out to have a walking vet bill. Oh, and, Heidi cost me $1800 vs Katie's $75. Who was just diagnosed with a bad hip and bad elbows. Yes, I still value my relationship with Heidi as much as Katie... But its a frustration...

Unfortunately for Heidi, Katie left very big paws to fill. However, Heidi continues to impress me with her drives and desires, and, has far exceeded the training levels I ever accomplished with Katie.

Either way... I've had two back to back dogs with awesome drives and desires to work!
