Everything looks good to me from the website, the dogs are nice working lines and the lady seems genuine in her love of dogs. I'd call and if no red flags are raised you're on your way!!!! Good luck finding your pup, getting a puppy is awesome!
This is not a comment on the quality of the dogs or breeding. Am I the only one who is bothered when I see pictures of adult dogs with babies or small children leaning into them (the dogs)?
they are on my short list of breeders to look when I go looking for my next UberHund. The kids and dog pics is a quick way of answering the question "are they good with kids?" When someone asks me that question about my dogs is a tip off to me that they may not have the time needed to train a puppy as needed. I usually answer "are your kids good with dogs? or just plan "no, they aren't" while my 8 year old is working/playing with them in obedience
I have a puppy from Von Hayden and he is great. Smart, lively and yes he is great with kids. Some lines of dogs are not great with kids...some lines are naturally good with kids. My dog, even though he is exhuberant, is actually careful with children. Kim's puppies are given time daily individually in a home environment with kids etc. That is one of the reason why I chose Von Hayden.
Of course kids are expected to be reasonable around dogs. People ask the question not because they do not want to teach kids or train dogs...they are asking because there are actually breeders that do not have dogs exposed to a home environment and they do not know how the dogs would do, or that are too reactive for a home environment.
I do not have an updated contact for the original poster.
I will add to my post. Alex is called the Gentle Giant by my grandkids. He is very gentle with kids and charmed the crowd here on Thanksgiving by picking up my three year old granddaughter's doll and bringing it to her.
Now with adults he actually can be a pushy and lively but he distinguishes between children and adults.
