October 31st might have been a hint as to the content.
Don't think so, there appears to be more than one new book released recently on this subject - an obviously touchy, but provocative subject that's most likely meant to be more of a conversation catalyst than an honest suggestion:
I personally put eating horses on the same plane as eating dog (makes my heart sink), but despite our obvious national affinity for equines, the US is a HUGE exporter of horse meat... and that has nothing to do with concern over carbon footprints or the efficiency of modern food production.

that is due to the production of birth control pills
I read that artical and can only conclude that if you dig far enough you'll find a PETA ahole or somebody that never really owned a real pet
First off, I'll never eat dog cause I don't want to. I've eaten snake, bear, buffalo, deer (Them little ones is easy. You just rinse the spots off in hot water and yer done), coon, rabbit, squirrel, groundhog, bugs, yadda, yadda. May try horse if it's ever avalible, just to see what all the fuss is about.
These are cultural issues and I have no desire or need to tell someone their eating habits are wrong. Wrong for me maybe.....but if I REALLY get hungry...who knows!
The folks in India must think were frickin savages cause I love dead cows. Dead pigs too! It would just be to cruel...for me...to eat live ones.
Now I have eaten lots of live bugs...but that was back in my motorcycle days and we didn't have helmet laws then. Wasn't my fault!
