Looking for a breeder that is in Arizona and is reputable. This will be a Family pet for my sister and her family. We want to find a good puppy for them.

Amber,
Saints aren't really a breed one thinks of with the Arizona heat and they aren't exactly a common breed. I would encourage you to look outside of what's in AZ. Although being in the national breed club is no guarantee of reputable behavior it will give you a place to start looking.
Amber, I too will implore you to ask your sister to do more research and perhaps consider a breed that is better suited to AZ weather.
I have a good friend who, when she and her family moved from Indiana, brought their St Bernard to Florida with them. This dog would spend lengthy amounts of time just standing chest deep on their pool steps, to try to get relief from the heat. When she was older and they would walk her, she would refuse to walk after a certain amount of time and just plop herself on the ground and wouldn't budge. Sometimes they would have to call someone at the house to get the car and come pick the dog up.
This was not a great life for this dog, IMO, and was certainly made worse by the extreme heat in the summer.
Thank you for the input everyone. I have already brought that up to her. Repeatedly . I believe they are also looking at the St. Bernard rescues. I just want to make sure now that she has made up her mind that she gets a good animal. I am still working on trying to get her to find a breed that would be better suited here.

I know 2 people that had Bernise Mountain dogs that died from overheating at this is in Connecticut not Florida, never mind Arizonia!!! Neither of these dogs was doing anything but hanging out when this happened. It wasn't even the height of the summer, either. I have another family that I know that has a B. Mtn dog that has to keep the dog in the house in the A/C in the summer because the dog has shown signs of heat issues in the warmer weather & they live in Nothern Westchester, New York. The kids can't even play with their dog in the warm weather. Dog goes out to pee & poop & has to come back in. I think that your mother needs a reality check. She is going to give this dog a 'death sentence' at the most & a lousey quality of life, at the least. Any breeder that sells a dog to her, knowing where she resides, would not be a responsible breeder, just one that wants to sell dogs & make a buck! JMO
