Love the river fetch!! All those pups looked like porpoises going after the ball!
Also loved all of the individual attention he gave each one - all that enthusiasm, but they each waited patiently for their little moment of affection from the center of their universe. Very cool indeed.
Now there is some real PACKleadership & training! I like how he gives each of the dogs individual attention & they each know that they will get thier turn. :-)
Man that was impressive! I almost had a heart attack when I saw himn approach the hwy though. I wish I was there running with them!! What a wonderful fun for the dogs!!!!
How did he train them to move from side to side when someone was approaching them on a bike, I noticed he used a stick.
He did this with sled dogs, too. I have one, which makes it all the more impressive. If anyone knows how he went about training I'd love to hear from them. Amazing!

I feel the same way!
I am really interested in how he used the stick to keep them on each side. I have been working on gee and haw and it has not been an easy thing to train for me.

I did this with my GSD, taught him to walk behind me on command - started on lead, short leash and just stick a leg out when the dog tries to pass.
Once the dog gets into the habit, you can start off leash. If you want the dog to move to one side, stick out your hand (or a stick)- you may have to tap the dog to make it move, then mark or reward when the dog moves to the opposite side.
