Right now in Illinois it is 6F outside and windy. I have a lab and he likes cold weather but not this cold. I'm not one to dress up my dog, but I was wondering if the neoprene hunting vests will help with the cold weather.
There isn't much available for larger dogs in my area, jacket wise. So I was wondering if anyone uses these and think they help in the cold. Like this
While I am not one to dress my dog up either I have a blanket for him that he wears when we go out to the barn or on really cold days for walks(his hips are bad). I ordered from this website they are reasonably priced.
No I don't do any hunting. On walks, he's wanting to keep them short. In my neighborhood, he knows when we are taking the long route or the short route. When we continue past the short route he stops and sits and will only walk on his will when I change direction to go for the short route.
I let him do this since he only does it on the really cold days and I figure it is his way of saying I'm cold. And when we get back he snuggles between me and the couch, trying to use me as a blanket.
