After months of lurking and learning so much I thought it would be time to introduce myself.
My name is Matt, I'm 19 year old Canadian boy from the Toronto area.I am now currently 4 weeks away from picking my female GSD pup from the breeder and I couldn't be more excited. I'm glad to say that right after I started looking for breeders I found this site and discovered a goldmine of information any young enthusiastic dog trainers should treasure.
I look at Michael Ellis as my mentor for dog training as his philosophy is what I want to base mine off of and I really think I can be successful. I already have 3 of Ed's DVDs and just ordered the tug DVD along with a bunch of other goodies for when my pup comes home. My aspirations are to train her for Schutzhund and I know how critical the it is to lay a good foundation in training so I'm trying to learn as much as I possibly can!
I will definately not hesitate to ask you guys questions as I respect your opinions greatly.

And you are definitely starting off on the right foot.
I hope you got the first marker video and then the food one with Michael Ellis, which are kind of Chapters 1 and 2, with the tug video being Chapter 3.
Connie I do indeed have those other DVDs and I must say they are very valuable assets for any up and coming dog trainer such as myself. I can't wait until I can start my work with markers... just 3 more weeks! woohoo
As for the name, It's so hard to decide. I think I might have to wait until I actually pick her up to finally make a decision. I was thinking Jade or Jayda but I can pick something completely different who knows! I'm always open to suggestions =)
I really look forward to the challenge this puppy will bring to my life and I hope to share my progress along the way with you guys.
