Any dog can be trained with markers, and there are plenty of people here with small dogs to help. My corgi is marker trained. At 32lbs he's not exactly small, but he's not large either. Good luck and have fun!
All dogs can/should be trained with markers, IMO. Doesn't matter if the dog is poodle, Lab, GSD, or something-oodle. They are canine first.
Ed says in all of his videos that the training expounded here has nothing to do with breed of dog. It's about training canines. I love the Leerburg marker training video and use it all the time--referring back often. I mostly use voice as a marker because I forget my clicker all over the place, but now that I'm trying to take my Lab Cali to the next level I'm back to using it for obedience things we're working on. Read, listen, watch, mark. It's great for you and your dog.
Thanks for the responses. I've got the videos and I guess it's just a comfort thing because I'm not use to small dogs. I have enjoyed training with markers and the type of dog this training allows.
I'm starting a business and of course I don't want to exclude a dog because of size...

I'm kind of lost. There really is no limitation to a "type of dog" who can be marker-trained. Marker training really is widely applicable. Kruse, Breland, and Skinner kicked it off with wild pigeons. Marker training has been used with marine mammals, bears, and many more.
Randy,
sorry to say I miss stated myself. I'm not selling videos I was trying to say I have the marker training video. I guess I didn'yt proof what I typed. I starting a business teaching personal obedience class. I really appreciate the vote of confidence. lol
