Yep. But if you know nothing about dog training then it looked spectacular.
Not a good account of the trainers' skills. Then again...who knows what film hit the cutting room floor. Even so, what was shown was substandard training IMO.
I'm embarrassed for Mr. Segal, but the man should *know* better.
The fact that those "trainers" ( and I use that term lightly, believe me ) allowed that kind of crappy training to occur ( much less let it be put on TV ) says volumes about them....and none of it good.
As a famous fellow once said "There's a sucker born every minute", and this was a prime example of that theory in action.
Anyone want to take a wager that Mr. Segal paid at least double for what those dogs were actually worth?
Wow. . Aggitating admitted "Attack" dogs with no suit/sleeve, harness, or control. Yi! Not good, not good. Well, if you wanted a real Man Stopper, Steven, you got one. Not a dog I would trust around friends or family, though.
I find it humorous that he mentioned a couple of times that these dogs are there to protect his wife when he's not there. Then why isn't she the one handling the dogs?
I'll preface this by saying that I know nothing about protection training, but why would you work two dogs that have known each other for a very short time side by side? It was evident from the first part of the clip that Segal had little control over the new dog, and in that side by side scenario his first dog blew him off, too.
So many things were done wrong that it makes my head hurt.
You're putting too many neurons to work, Howard - doesn't the mere image of Steven Segal immediately switch off all rational portions of the brain and cause one to merely anticipate an imminent bumbling action sequence? (of which this particular scenario, albeit "real", is BOUND to produce in spades!)
I just couldn't stop staring at his crazy hairline...

Hehe...so I'm not the only one thinking it then......
