HA! Kidding with the thread title! It's just that I feel like an old hand already. It's going so well for Cali. She is handling everything very well so far, and I am doing a **happy dance** about the poop. Are you kidding me? 2x/day and modest amounts? I was cleaning mess after mess up 5-6x/day. Poor thing had to be in distress.
So far I have taken a couple of days each to introduce:
Chicken backs
Chicken necks
Chicken quarters
Ground turkey
Ground beef
Chicken hearts/gizzards
Small amount of chicken liver
Egg
Salmon Oil
Vit E
Probiotic
(Kelp and Alfalfa on order)
From the free food grab I was able to do at my CSA last week, I got a few new items. How about this list to introduce gradually over the next month-6weeks or so? Too many different things?
For the new foods, just add them in one at a time to a meal that you know is established with Cali. Start with a small amount, and then increase to the desired amount as you see that she is taking to it fine.
You did so good with everything else, just keep doing whatever you did to get you to this point. You seem to know your dog's stomach pretty well now.
One more thing. You already know it by this quote, "Small amount of chicken liver...". Same for all the new organs you got recently, small amounts.
