This doesn't really go in the accidentally teaching your dog something thread. This is more the moron owner doesn't think before training category.
I taught one of the dogs "Gimme kiss." This involves standing on hind legs and giving me a tiny little face-lick and then sitting.
The problem? You know how some dogs will persist, despite the repeated lack of success, in offering their whole repertoire without command in hope of a reward? "Sit, down, stand, place" in rapid succession just because there is a smell of marker rewards in the air ....
I could have done without "Gimme kiss" in that routine.
Oh, I feel your pain Connie... Oscar knows "kiss" too - he doesn't offer it if your face isn't directly in front of him (he won't jump up), but if you kneel down and are maybe thinking about asking him for a "paw" or something, and you wait a second too long with the command... you get a "kiss". I don't mind the equivalent of a doggie "peck on the cheek", but Oscar's version of a kiss is sort of a punch in the face with his nose... and maybe a little tongue at the end, to wipe off the blood that's probably dripping from one nostril. It's funny, at the same time that it's not, really.

my boxer is pretty good at that too...given that his tongue is very wide, more than once my upper lip actually flipped up (like i felt it open then back to normal)...disturbing

Edit reason: typo
We tried to teach Yote to say I love you, very bad idea, I also at one point tried to mark the sound he makes that sounds like Mama, but also a very bad idea.
He didn't differentiate so would just bark at the top of his lungs once we marked any sort of noise.
I am just so glad to see that some of you folks who I look up to as the grand poobahs of dog owners, also at time, yes, I gotta say it again - step on their twinkies. Even the gals.
