Installed correctly it drains really well, there is no mud, dirt, no weeds, no mushrooms, no mowing, etc and no grass stains. I didn't think it was as slippery as grass either when wet. Most installers have a dog damage guarantee against digging, chewing etc. One downside is that it will eventually fade.

I thought I'd have an estimate done on the area I'd like to put it in - it's not too large(all fall and winter it is a huge mud hole). I hadn't thought about fade. I'll put that on my list of questions for the guy. Sanitation - as in odor - is another question I have. Lani

I hate fighting the moss on my lawn, dealing with moles, the creeping charlie, mowing, weed eating, etc. During the summer its a 2x a week mow, and during fall and winter you're fighting the mud and the mystery green slime. Oh ... the time I'd save if money were no object.
