Ok so I should start with info
I have been on leerburg for almost three years.
Not totally active all the time But I do check out the board at least once a week.
Phoenix is a three year old Spayed female.
She has only her puppy shots and her rabies three year vac.
She is on monthly heartguard and frontline.
So here is the problem
She thru up today. I am not sure why or the cause she did not eat to fast it took her over 15 minutes to eat which is un normal she normal sarfs it down in like five.
She gets 6 kibble meals a week and one raw meal on Wednesdays. so this was her bravo raw. She ate the same flavor package last week they are invidiously wrapped. So it was the same package but different chunk of meat.
There was nothing in her throw up but the half way digested meat and some stomach acid. Her nose is cold.
she looks like she does not feel great so where do i go from here. Already called vet and they said really unless it goes on for a few days there is nothing we can do.\\Is this anything to worry about am I jumping the gun. Or should IO fast and go with the sick protocol.
My friend dog I pet sitted had some kind of unknown virus but they think it was do to food he was here this past weekend but was already putting weight back on and healthy off meds and stuff.
at our home, if a dog vomits, or has the runs, the first thing we do is fast them for at least one meal, sometimes a whole day.
This lets them clean their system(which is what they are trying to do anyway).
after that, the next meal is either their regular food, but a bit less, or something like overcooked rice and broth, depending. After that, its usually back to normal.
