In the last week I have switched Belle to 2x/day feeding (5a-5p) and have noticed that her stools are "pudding". She will be 12 weeks this Thursday. I am wondering if this switch is the cause of the loose stool. She seems fine otherwise.
Thanks!

First question doesn't really matter since I re-read your post.
12 weeks needs AT LEAST 3 times a day regardless.
The amount of food a puppy needs daily at that age is just too much to squeeze into 2 meals.
And yes, there is a large chance that the switch caused the soft poop.
How long after the switch did this start?

Just switched over last week and it started shortly after. She is eating a mix of Pro Plan Puppy mixed with Innova (I am switching to the Innova and have mixed the two). She has been getting the mix for a few weeks now.

With the mix as another variable it *could* be the food, but with the soft stool onset so soon after the switch in meal amounts, I'd probably place the blame there.
Just too much food per meal for a puppy.

If that doesn't clear this up, then take a stool sample to the vet to have checked out.
Hopefully this will be the fix, though.
Puppy people, chime in. 6-8 months when you switch to twice a day?

That's about what Carina Beth McDonald says too (in the little
Raw Dog Food book at
http://leerburg.com/970.htm ): 4-5 months for most breeds and 7-8 months for large breeds. I've read 6 months average many places, including, I believe, LB.

Just an update: The pudding stools have resolved quickly with a return to 3x/day feeding.
