Lori's loss reminded me to post this. Have any of you heard of Luke Robinson's journey with his 2 Great Pyrs from Austin to Boston to raise awareness of canine cancers? I met him as he made his way through Ohio last year. The guy is genuine and sincere and passionate. His walk will wrap up in Boston in June, then phase 2 begins, which will raise money for researching cures. Google 2 Dogs 2000 Miles to learn more. If I can get the time off I want to go to Boston for the end of the walk.
Wow, a kind of Terry Fox of the dog world. Hadn't heard about him. I hope you're able to join him. Boston's a litte far for me but I'll sure spread the word. See if we can't get him some more research funds.
I hoped you'd find him, Lori. So many people have lost wonderful dogs. I had to "hide" him on Facebook as I started to feel like it was tempting fate to spend that much time thinking about canine cancer. Crazy, I know, but my dog is my heart.
