Info I have is the little girl, Samantha Jimenez, and her dog were born the same year. 7 years old. She did wonderfully and scored a 91 in Ob and a 92 in protection. Unfortunately, they didn't pass tracking.
Her dad, Pedro is the USA NE Regional Director. One of Samantha's coaches is T Floyd. T's a perennial on the podium box. I don't know who was more choked up -- Pedro or T.
Samantha's a sweetheart. Later that day, I saw her doing some foundation work with some puppies sired by her dad's Universial Sieger dog, Alex.. She was doing a pretty nice job with the puppies.
T is an outstanding coach and teacher -- he's mentored many young people to the national level and beyond. Some once said that when you see T, don't think of the guy standing on the podium, think of the guy who drove from New Jersey to California to attend a Helmut Reiser seminar in a beat-up old van, sleeping in it out there, during and back because he wanted so badly to learn about Schutzhund.
Wow that video was really nice. My boy wants to help me so bad he can't stand it but he's only six. I let him do has much as I can and he has a lot of fun.
Hats off to dad and Mr. Floyd. It's easy to see that both the little girl and the dog are being set up for success. That's what training dogs and raising kids is all about.
Thanks for posting. Made my day.
A dog has alot of friends because he wags his tail instead of his mouth.
