I had a Dobe years ago that would put beer cans in the recycling bin. Only beer cans, never coke cans. Must have been the German dog thing to prefer beer to soda....
:-)
Sit Pretty, Spin (both directions),high five, ZOMG (high fives with two paws), circle around me while moving forward, bang bang (play dead), roll over, back-up, speak, paw and shake (one for lifting each right and left paw), march, bow, walk on hind legs, rear up and hop, weave in and out of legs, pickpocket out of wallets (this was not intentional -_-)
we're working on skipping, holding soda cans, fetching food without eating it (we've tackled vegetables and a variety of snacks....hotdogs still arrive half missing with chew marks), staying quiet when weaving even if the reward is a frisbee toss
I can't wait until my dog turns 2 so I can put him into hard work....
One of my first dogs a beagle border collie cross ( I always felt that must have been so confusing to live in in that body) I taught her many different tricks though the best was to fetch a beer from the fridge.. She was a hit at Parties but would deliver the beverages continually and a lot of the times even quicker than us young binge drinkers wanted them.
The down side it didn't take her long to realize that we kept food in the fridge ( I always said that must have been her beagle side) and she took to raiding it until we put a child lock on it.. Teach with caution!!!!
What a fun question, loved all the replies.
We also name the crazy things that they offer, my favorite is 'silly puppy' and he rolls on his back, wiggles his butt and rubs his face with the two fronts. Say our prayers. Say tired and he yawns. Shapes for commands, triangle = sit, circle = down....
