This time it's Monty. Today noticed his canines were damaged. The last time he was left in the crate he managed to break one of the carabiners and I guess that gave him hope of escape and he decided to try harder Scheduled an appointment with the dentist.
Monty will have to be managed somehow from now on. What can we do??? Leave him unrestrained in the house? Last time we did that he shredded my favorite bandana. Aluminum crate? He'll still be able to use his teeth. Lock him in a room? We could attach a piece of plywood to the door so that he does not destroy the door... The only suitable rooms are in full sun and get too hot during the day.
Anybody knows how to get rid of a curse? Any spells/potions? Ritual dances?
Anybody knows how to get rid of a curse? Any spells/potions? Ritual dances?
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “No one can make you a victim without your consent.”
Thus, if you believe in your own power; removing a curse becomes a moot point. If you have a negative outlook, you will no doubt become vulnerable to the words of those who seek to cause you harm.
You can remove a curse by simply not believing in it or its alleged power.
If that doesn’t resonate, you could always try this:
You will need two candles, eight inches long - one black, one white. If you can’t find eight inch candles just get longer candles and cut them down.
You will also need a heavy duty safety pin and a bag of charcoal.
If you think the person that cursed you is male you will need the Knight of Swords tarot card, and if it is a female you will need the Queen of Swords tarot card.
This spell should only be carried out on a full moon between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 1:00 AM.
You will need to find two spots. The first spot must be a piece of land where nothing grows. Dig a hole 12 inches deep and 12 inches wide. Fill the hole with the charcoal.
Now find a piece of land nearby where there is green grass by a tree or bush.
Using a knife, carve seven circles “around” the white candle – creating sections one inch apart.
Using a different knife, carve seven circles around the black candle. Now on the bottom seventh section of the candles, using the safety pin, engrave the name of the person you believe cursed you. Also engrave the word "drevida".
Light the white candle and then light the black candle. Place the candles on the green grass.
Repeat these words until both candles have burnt down to the end of first segment. "creo del macres ete prestwer".
Extinguish both candles. Bury white candle in ground next to tree. Engrave the name of accused on the tarot card and bury it with the black candle in the charcoal.
The curse will be removed within seven days.
All joking aside, I’m sorry to hear about Monty. I hope you’re able to get to quickly get to the “root” of his problem.
PS….You might also want to make sure that his dentist isn’t in cahoots with the ill-will curse provider. Stay away from these people at all costs.
This is exactly what we need, CJ! I am going to dust off my robe with arcane symbols and perform some powerful magicks!
I don't think a leather muzzle would work, he chews on it after a while. Wire muzzle? Do they make them this small? The closer the restraint the harder he fights it, that's why I am thinking an empty room.
Does anybody have experience with escape artists? Would an aluminum crate help or do they still try to chew on it?
I forget who's who in the line up and it looks to be they're all at least 50# so an exercise pen probably wouldn't work. Thought I'd suggest it anyway.
I have never used an alum. crate. We use the plastic airline crates, although I would imagine they could still damagae their teeth or toe nails by going after the metal grid door but I haven't experienced that.
Aw Aimee, you are flattering them Connie (50lb), Suzie(45lb) and Baby Monty(30lb). Even at 30lbs Monty will probably just jump out of X-pen.
I have been thinking about modifying an airline crate, replacing that wire door with... plastic? plexiglass? The temperature downstairs is almost never above 70F but it still might get too hot.
It might be safest to leave him loose if I could make sure he only chews on the target I give him... A second (better) Kong strategically placed at the front door?
eta: We do have a small closet, 7' x 8', no windows, plastic boxes with stuff along the walls with enough room in the middle. Leave him there? In the dark with a Kong?
Personally I like the herbsmith products, spike away. Is there any ground work that you have tried r/t separation anxiety? Is that what is going on, separation anxiety when alone?
We did the groundwork and S/A work with him. I think the problem is that he already knows some escape tactics and whenever he sees the opportunity, like a loose crate door, he will go for it out of boredom if nothing else.
When we forgot to use carabiners on the crate and Monty got out he was waiting calmly for us when we returned. Shredded my favorite bandana. The only thing I am worried about is that if we leave him loose he might swallow something. But he is very much calmer if left loose.
Spike the Kong and leave him loose? And screw some plywood to the front door, just in case?
