Thanks very much. I have to admit this may be harder on me than it is on Morgan.
She's just the coolest little dog and I want her around for a long time. She's always kept pace with the Malinois and the last 6 months I've watched her fall behind and it's like the end of an era or something.
We always do an after dinner walk with all the dogs, and I've been leaving her home lately...she just can't keep up and I end up carrying her. Very sad.
Just watched the video and am very sorry to hear this about Morgy. She will certainly receive the absolute best care, and that is all any pup can ask for. Keeping you guys in my thoughts.

My first dog Sam had DM. Great dog but it was so sad how it robbed him of his movement while his mind was still so sharp.
Cindy I saw that you shaved Morgy, I know for Sam he had issues with hair growth after he got diagnosed which we suspect was immune related. I'd be curious to know if Morgan's hair grows back the same way.
I saw the video too and was touched. That is one lucky dog to have you all to share her life with.
I am going through some of this right now with my Poe - my heart and soul dog. He is 11.5 and he appears to be having neurological issues that affect his mobility. DM has been passed around but because there is some mobility issues with his front (albeit nowhere as bad as his rear), the conventional wisdom is saying it is probably something else. Xrays yesterday showed a couple slipped discs but nothing out of the ordinary for an elderly performance dog.
There were some miniscule white flecks in the lung area that caused a bit of questioning with my vet and the mention of the dreaded "C" word but nothing conclusive so the Xrays are off to Colorado State for consultation tomorrow. Needless to say I had a good cry yesterday :-(
I see Morgy and Mr Frawley in the basic dog OB video, He will be forever that spunky little dog in the videos, also playing too ball up and down. So sorry to know about his condition, I also learn about DM, so many things we go thru, just keep loving him up. Dan
